Teeth Whitening

At Coly House Dental & Implant Centre, we offer a professional whitening system for you to use at home at a time convenient to you. We provide you with special custom-made trays (a little like mouthguards) plus whitening gel, and will show you how to use them.
We recommend this system as it gives you control over the degree of whitening you desire. Results are seen within just one to two weeks and are easy to maintain.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are a great way of replacing one or more missing teeth. They are strong, permanent, and look and feel completely natural. The implants themselves are tiny titanium metal rods which are gently placed into your jawbone. Over a few months your jawbone bonds with the rods to form, in effect, a false tooth root.
The implants can then be used to support crowns or bridges. The end result is tooth replacements that look and feel so realistic you may even forget they're not your real teeth! Implants can also be used to hold dentures firmly in place, making it easier for you to eat and speak with confidence.
Veneers
Veneers offer a great way of transforming your smile with just one treatment. They are very thin layers of porcelain which are adhered to the front of your teeth. Because they cover the whole front surface, they can hide many imperfections including discoloured, chipped, cracked or misaligned teeth.
They are often used for smile makeovers because of their versatility, and are frequently seen in TV makeover programmes such as Ten Years Younger. The procedure involves preparing your teeth by shaping them and taking a very thin layer (1mm or less) from the surface of your teeth to make room for the veneers.
We take an impression, or mould, of the area, which is sent to our dental laboratory. A skilled craftsman makes each veneer so the veneers fit perfectly and look and feel natural.
Once ready - usually within about two weeks - the veneers are bonded into place, giving you a beautiful, natural-looking smile.
